Gov Yuguda prays for release of Chibok girls

Bauchi state governor, Isa Yuguda has joined several other Nigerians in praying for the release and safe return of the abducted Chibok School girls as well as others in captivity by unidentified insurgents in all parts of the country A press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Deacon Ishola Michael Adeyemi, made available to news men yesterday in Bauchi,said the governor who was represented by his Deputy Sagir Aminu Saleh during a round of prayers at the Government House, lamented that parents and other relations of the abducted school girls have been made to undergo trauma in the last 100 days since the abduction praying that God will facilitate their release very soon.

He condemned in strong terms all acts of insurgency opining that it has not brought any good to the country and its citizens since it started about 5 years ago and appealed to the insurgents to drop their evil acts and join in nation building.

Yuguda, who urged the family members of the abduction victims and many others who have suffered one form of insurgent or the other, expressed optimism that God will intervene and bring the situation back to normalcy.

The prayer session, which was held inside the EXCO Chambers of the Government House, was led by Yahaya Tanimu and Reverend Kennedy Masau for both the Moslem and Christian faiths respectively and it was attended by top government functionaries.
