Zamfara state governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Sagir Hamidu Gusau, has alleged that the mal-administration of the governor of the state, Abdul ‘Aziz Abubakar Yari, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is occasioned by lack of vision to govern the people, is a campaign for the PDP to win all elective positions in the next year’s general elections .
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Sagir stated that Zamfara, within the last three and half years, has suffered severe hardship under the misrule of the executive governor, because, according to him, Yari came in without any vision and therefore lost focus in providing the basic necessities of life.
“I tell you that Yari did not acquire any administrative experience anywhere before he was elected as governor and the worst thing is that he refused to learn, thereby making the state to retrogress”, he stated.
The PDP aspirant explained that Yari only embarks on cosmetics renovations of schools, hospitals and few roads that has no bearing on the lives of the people, adding that since he assumed office all cottage industries have closed, public schools are poorly funded and farmers have no incentives to boost the agricultural sector, while seeds of discord are being sown on a daily basis.
According to him, these are enough reasons for the PDP to leverage on and campaign with, to win in the next general elections.
