Gov. Dakingari reaffirms commitment to completion of on-going projects

Governor Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari has given assurance to contractors, to release funds to facilitate speedy completion of on-going projects in Kebbi State.

The Governor gave this assurance while inspecting the permanent site of Kebbi State Polytechnic, Dakingari, Suru-Sarandosa road, Andarai-Jandutsi-Alelu road, New Ultra-Modern Hospital in Jega and the on-going work of the new secretariat complex.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work so far executed in the state.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Muazu Dakingari, he urged the contractors to maintain such standard and job specification.

Speaking, the representatives of the contractors, Mz and Sons Nigeria Limited, Garba Kasimu, Engineer Milad Jaramanda of Westlands Nigeria Limited, the Regional Manager of CGC, Mr. Jiang and Alhaji Abbas Muhammad Jega (Abbasco) assured the Governor of completing the projects as scheduled, without compromising quality.

In a related development, the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi has taken delivery of five fire fighting vehicles including two water tankers to meet up category 9 fire cover required for NCAA certification. With this development, it is expected that more than 30,000 litres of water and foam is derived at the Airport.

A ceremonial display of all the fire fighting vehicles was witnessed by Governor Saidu Dakingari, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Aminu Habib Jega, members of the Executive Council, Airport officials, the Director Fire service and his staff.
