Gov. Buni inaugurates sensitization C’ttee on COVID-19.

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has inaugurated a high level committee on corona virus aimed at sensitising the general public on all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the state.
As contained in press release from the press secretary to the state deputy governor, Hon Idi Barde Gubana, the committee was inaugurated by the deputy who is also the chairman of the committee.
During the event which took place at the Government House in Damaturu the state capital yesterday, the chairman stressed that as the world faces corona virus pandemic, yobe constituted a high level committee aimed at taking all necessary measures to check possible eventualities of deadly virus.
Government according to him is concerned about the lives of people of Yobe state adding however that prayers is the only solution to the pandemic.
Shortly after the inaugural meeting, commissioners ministry of Home affairs information and culture Alh Abdullahi Bego and Health Dr. Mohammed lawan Gana as well as permanent Secretary political affairs Alh lawan Kolo Gaidam who is also the secretary of the committee jointly addresses news men on the position of the state government.
Social, political and religious gathering should be minimize, all civil servants from level 1 to 12 are also advised to remain at home for at least 30 days while essential services to remain at their duty post.
