Yobe state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni yesterday, declared open the fourth edition of the state budget dialogue and stakeholders’ engagement which took place at the cultural centre, Damaturu, the state capital.
Represented by his deputy, Hon. Idi Garba Gubana, the governor said the innovative of engaging in dialogue with stakeholders is to afford them the opportunity to prioritise their demand for provision of projects and social services that could give the desired impact to the people at the grassroots in the forthcoming fiscal year.
He added that the event is aimed at bringing various inputs from trade unions, civil society organisations, community-based organisations, all farmers association of Nigeria and other groups with a view to shape the destiny of government in its developmental pursuits in all facets of human endeavour.
He said the present administration is ever ready to welcome ideas that would facilitate provision of basic infrastructure that could induce investment and its attendant benefits in government attempt at transforming the state reform process of transparency, accountability, due process and inclusion of members of the general public in the annual budget dialogue.
