The management of Muraj property Development Limited,contracting company owned by the younger brother to Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla of Adamawa state has debunked the claim that it has failed to deliver a N2 billion World Bank rural assisted road projects in the state.
Managing Director of the firm,Alhaji Abubakar Umaru Jibrilla made the position of the company known while addressing journalists on the matter in Yola Tuesday insisting that his company was awarded N45million contract not N1.2 Billion as being speculated.
Jibrilla stated that his company was awarded N45 million contract out of the N2 billion and had since completed the job.
“ I need to make this clear because speculations are making round, particularly in the social media that the governor’s brother has collected N2 billion contract and did not deliver.
“We have completed the 7.8 kilometer road from Pakka to Humbutudi that we are handling and we are waiting for the house committee to come and see.
“Already, a committee from the Ministry had visited the site and certified the job,” Jibrilla said.
He reiterated his respect for the state assembly, adding that he is ready to Honour the house invitation.
It will be recalled that the Adamawa House of Assembly had recently threatened to order the issuance of warrant of arrest for managements of Hydro Source and Resources Nigeria Limited, AYM and Muraj Limited handling the about N2 billion World Bank project if they failed to appear before the house in a date to be fixed over allegation of shoddy job.
