The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has sworn in the newly elected 24 local government chairmen on 30th November, 2019.
He urged them to be prepared for the enormous tasks ahead and have to work in the interest of the people.
He decried over the challenges of inadequate resources especially funding hence the need for collaborative efforts with the state revenue board so as to succeed in raising Internal Generated Revenue IGR) to execute projects, adding that Unified Task System has been signed in to law to enhanced success.
Governor Bello charged the new chairmen to pay attention to security, education, Primary Health Care PHC) and general welfare of the people if they must succeed.
The oath of office was administered on them by Justice Isyaku Usman who represented the Chief Judge of Niger state, Justice Aliyu Mayaki yesterday at government house in Minna.
Also, the newly sworn in Head of Service and six Permanent Secretaries have been charged by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State to be selfless and dedicated in their various places of assignment.
Justice Balkisu Gambo Yusuf who represented the Chief Judge of Niger State administered the oath of office while Governor Sani Bello presided over the ceremony.
Governor Sani Bello who described their respective appointments during their swearing in at government house, as well deserved, called on them to remain dedicated and hardworking.
He further urged them to make meaningful impacts in the lives of those around them and to also ensure that they carry those working under them along for the overall development of Niger State.
The newly sworn -in Head of Service, Hajiya Salamatu Abubakar is the first female head of service in Niger State who was appointed on 1st June 2019.
Meanwhile, the six permanent secretaries sworn in are Lucky Barau, Habiba Ahmed, Shehu Jibril, Isah Mohammed Doko, Ibrahim Abubakar and Dr. Usman Idris Gbagan.
