Gov. Atiku urges vigilante on security synergy for peaceful 2019 polls

Kebbi State Governor Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu has called on the Vigilantes Group of Nigeria to form a synergy with the other security agencies in order to have a smooth and peaceful conduct of the forthcoming 2019 General Elections in the state and Nigeria as a all.
He made this appealed yesterday at the 5 years anniversary and the lunching of N150, 000,000.00 to build office secretariat and acquiring of working equipment held at the Presidential Hall Birnin Kebbi.
He said that there is need to form unity with the other sisters agencies in to have a smooth election.
The Governor who was represented by the Chairman State Emergency Management Agency and also the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, Alhaji Sani Dododo said that the vigilantes has important rule to play in the forthcoming coming elections.
He therefore charged them to be more proactive in tackling the security challenges in the country.
“We see your importance in the state and we commended your efforts and we ready to you, the VGN supported this our government most especially during the electioneering campaigned, we also assured you of our support and cooperation toward achieving the said objectives by given our societies peace and harmony” he added.
The Governor who expressed more appreciation to the vigilante group in the state for the way manner they handle the criminal charges and haven good relationship with the polices command.
In his remarks, the Commander General of the VGN, Peace Ambassador Alhaji Ali Sokoto thanked the Kebbi State Governor for supporting their group, adding that they are facing a lot of challenges in terms of working tools.
