Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has granted approval for the upward review of Non- Accountable Travelling Allowance (NATA) as part of the present administration efforts to improve service delivery in the state.
According to a circular issued today by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Liman Bello, the Governor has granted approval for the upward review of the travelling allowance from between 67 — 200% with effect from 1stFebruary, 2018.
The Head of Civil Service explained that the decision to review the allowances by the state Chief Executive was part of the various interventions of the present administration towards motivating the Civil Servants in improving service delivery.
He pointed out that the upward review of the allowances cut across various categories of Civil Servants, particularly those on grade level 01 up to the position of Permanent Secretaries, Commissioners and other political appointees.
