Indigenous household products manufacturer, Gongoni Company Ltd, has offered 10% discount to visitors shopping from its stand at the ongoing 39th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair.
Customers were seen keenly interested in the ‘Rambo Insecticide Cones’ a fragrance cone and insect killer introduced by the Sales Representatives at the fair.
The cone has both insect killing and perfume benefits, which burns within 15 minutes, leaving behind a traditional Bakhour perfume, a unique selling point that makes the customers demand for it.
Other new products showcased, by the company’s Marketing Manager, Abdulrahman Abubakar are: Rambo Insecticide Spray 500ml which he said knocks down both flying and crawling insects.
“This year, we also came here with Septol Hand wash, a disinfectant hand washing liquid that is effective in reducing bacteria and germs found on the skin that may cause diseases and infections,” he explained.
He said that in view of the prevailing weather conditions that make rooms, offices and cars stuffy which may result to foul air, they have come up with Room Fresh Lavender fragrance air freshner, as well as the Stick Fresh Air Freshner in the same fragrance.
“We also came with the new fragrances of Marina Air Freshner, as well as Bint El Sudan Incense Cone,” he added.
Abubakar said that the antiseptic sop, Septol also now comes in five new variants which include Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Black with Osun, Cool With Menthol and with Lemon.
On the patronage they have received at the fair so far this year, he said that they are not doing badly.
“We are not doing badly, but the good thing is that we have some traditional customers that do their annual purchase of their products every trade fair and it lasts them for the year. I think I can count about six of that.
“We are also getting patronage from the wholesalers, retailers and families who buy for consumption,” he added.
