The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has been appointed to lead the Bayelsa West and East Senatorial bye election Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as the reconciliation team for the Bayelsa APC crisis.
Also, the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, will serve as Deputy chairman of the committee, which the secretary is Ekemini Cletus Udoh, with senator Ali Ndume, among others as members.
A statement issued yesterday by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, Yekini Nabena, said the appointment was made by the chairman of the APC caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, who doubles as the Governor of Yobe state.
“Chairman, Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), H.E. Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of the Governor of Gombe State, H.E. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya to chair the Party’s Reconciliation/Election Committee for the October 31 concurrent legislative by-elections for Bayelsa Central and West Senatorial District.
“Committee Members: Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Chairman, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Vice Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Sahabi, Member, Senator Ali Ndume, Member, Senator Uba Sani, Member.
Others are: Ambassador Fatima Goni, Member, Senator Chris Adegije, Member, Alh Yusuf O. Ocholi, Member, Chief Enyi o. Enyi, Member, Pearl Ekebong Inwang, Member, Bar. Ekemini Cletus Udoh, Secretary.”
The statement said the committee will be inaugurated by the APC Caretaker Chairman on Tuesday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
