Gombe: Foundation boosts manual quarry operators with cash

A successful businessman and politician, Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma- Sale has donated working materials worth thousands of naira to manual quarry operators association in Gombe, with a view to ease their activities effectively.

Presenting the material to the beneficiaries yesterday in Gombe,

through his personal assistant, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulkadir Abab, he said the material donated to the beneficiaries include hand-gloves,

shovels, hammers, wheelbarrows and safety boots.

He said the donation was aimed at improving the economic standard of the people, noting that he had identified ninety trade groups in the state which he is working tirelessly with, to ensure that he maps out strategies to assist them to improve their profession.

According to him, apart from scholarship scheme given to students, he has also trained citizens on various trades which he said his foundation was planning to purchase modern machines from China for the quarry operators to enable them work effectively.

Also speaking, the state chairman of people living with disabilities, Alhaji Umaru Goro, challenged individuals, especially those occupying elective positions to dedicate themselves to empowering the poor disabled in their midst.

He commended the gesture by Hamman –Sale, saying his members will continue to appreciate his efforts in making things easy for the people and appealed others in the society to emulate him.

Responding, the chairman manual quarry operators in Gombe, Malam Auwal Garba thanked the donor for the assistance saying it is first of its kind.
