From Ado Abubakar Musa, Jos

Following the comment made by the Jigawa state governor , Alh. Sule Lamido against the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressive Congress,(APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), a chieftain in the party, Senator Danjuma Goje, in a reaction called on Lamido to stop castigating Buhari, just as he said such remark would cause problem to their ambition of rescuing Nigeria.

Danjuma Goje who lamented yesterday on the morning programme of the Hausa Service of Radio France International (RFI), stressed that if Lamido in his capacity would not support Buhari’s presidential ambition, he should not be painting him (Buhari) badly in the eyes of Nigerians, adding that no amount of intimidation and harassment by the PDP would shake their marathon move.

Goje, who called on Lamido and other people from the north to have pity for the region as the region is being destroyed by the activities of Boko Haram, also said that he was surprised to hear that such comment was coming from Lamido, accusing that PDP was the one often making inflammatory comment and intimidation.

He said, “for the first time I heard Lamido’s remark against Buhari,I didn’t believe it because I thought the Sule I know would not make such comment. If Sule will not support Buhari’s ambition to rescue the country and the menace that bedevil the northern part of Nigeria, he should not be castigating him. Inflammatory remarks are known to be PDP style of intimidation. Goje however called on Nigerians to come out in there mass to vote APC so as to salvage the country from its present situation.
