The flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri as well as the former lawmaker representing Abuja South at the National Assembly, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi, have vowed to work closely for the victory of the party in 2022 chairmanship election in the area.
This was made known when the Gwagwalada APC candidate visited the former lawmaker in his hometown in Dobi on Thursday, ahead of the 2022 election.
In his speech during the visit, Giri said there was a need for the party’s members/supporters to work for the progress of APC in 2022 election in Gwagwalada.
He called for consultative meetings among the APC members in order to pave the way for peaceful co-existence.
Also speaking, Angulu Bodi assured the APC members/supporters that he would remain committed to the success of the party in 2022.
Dobi told the party’s members as well as the supporters to shun any act capable of undermining the progress of the party during the forthcoming Area Council chairmanship election, while calling on them to make phone calls whenever they forseen problems at their wards.
Speaking earlier, the Gwagwalada APC chairman, Mr. Ahmed Baba, solicited the co-operation and support of the party’s members ahead of 2022 election.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, Mr. Kasim Dagiri, party’s supporters/members and the APC Councillor candidates accompanied the Gwagwalada APC Chairmanship flagbearer to the former legislator’s hometown.
