From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi
Bauchi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has refuted the reports that its chairman of Giade Local Government Area, Alhaji Auwalu Mai-Doya has been temoved from office.
The Bauchi North Zonal Vice -Chairman, of the party, Alhaji Haruna Musa Shitu, while talking to newsmen in Bauchi, said the allegation against the chairman of the party was still pending as the State Working Committee has yet to take any action.
Meanwhile, Chairman Disciplinary Committee of the PDP Giade LG, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Nawaila in a statement has clarified the matter just as the party’s Financial Secretary, Alhaji Datti Dan Iya, has described the rumour as baseless.
Bello explained that his committee had written their findings to the executive committee of the party and its zonal chairman intimating them of the anti party activities of some members which his committee was given the mandate to take disciplinary measures against.
“Based on the directives given to us, our committee has approved the suspension of Giade Caretaker committee chairman, Alhaji Musa Mainari and Commissioner of Social Welfare in the state, Alhaji Umaru Saleh who also hailed from the local government for anti party” he said
The chairman said they were suspended because investigations conducted had shown that they were behind the purported meeting aimed at creating disunity among the members of the party in the local government, saying that the Deputy Chairman of the party, seven others and 12ward chairmen were also suspended.
