Exhibitors at the on-going 2018 Abuja International Trade Fair lamented the lack of power supply as to their pavilions as the noise and pollution emanating from the many generator sets that provided power supply to the many shops at the complex filled the air as the Trade Fair went into its second day.
An exhibitor who craved for anonymity questioned how international investors would be interested in bringing their monies to invest in a nation seeing the conditions under which the indigenous exhibitors operated.
Another exhibitor queried the preparedness of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) to host the annual event which is in its 13th edition, seeing that exhibitors had to provide their own power for themselves.
Meanwhile there was public power supply at the secretariat and other buildings in the complex.
When Peoples Daily took up the spokesperson of the Chambers, Mr. Lubem Gena on the efforts of the ACCI, towards alleviating the situation, he declined comments on the matter, but after much prodding, responded thus: “Go and write whatever you want to write”.
