Future of health conference to hold Thursday

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Nigeria Health Watch said it has concluded arrangement to host Future of Health Conference in Abuja.
Speaking ahead of the conference which will hold on Thursday, the Director of Policy/Advocacy of Nigeria Health Watch, Dr. Ifeanyi Nsofor said the event will attract health professionals from diaspora and within the country to share experiences and challenges.
While lamenting the poor state of the health sector, Nsofor said more needs to be done to improve the sector especially at a time when many Nigerians practicing abroad are returning home.
“While we have Nigerians in diaspora returning home, many young ones in the country want to go abroad. We are Organising this event for the professionals and stakeholders in the field to speak on their various experiences and other challenges in the health sector that needs urgent attention”.
He said the experience will help many professionals to understand the practice and challenges in other parts of the world.
Also speaking, the Editor-in-Chief of Nigerian Health Watch, Adaobi Ezeokoh, said the organization tasked with advocacies on health has been at the fore front of discussions that affect the health sector.
While calling on Nigerians to always access health care, Ezeokoh said “health is the right of every Nigerian, and people should know their rights and hold government accountable.
