The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has promised to continue to embark on programs that would reduce the rate of accident and make the roads safer for motorist across the country.
The national co-ordinator of the FRSC, Mr. Sini Tits Kwabe, made this known while addressing newsmen during this year’s sectorial workshop for special Marshall in Lagos state.
Kwabe said the benefit of the workshop entitled: “Improved Regulatory and Enforcement Capacity in FRSC”, was to keep awareness of road traffic management.
The national coordinator explained that the FRSC was working on reducing the accident rate to 25 percent and fatality rate to 15 percent, which would lead to attaining the goals of reducing carnage on Nigeria roads.
“FRSC would ensure that they are better equipped with the necessary skills and materials required to make them perform creditably.”
He appealed to the road user to obey traffic laws and regulations, adding that nobody was above the law.
