A construction firm, Karamod Nigeria Technologies, has donated a surveillance cabin to the Kuje unit command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), to boost monitoring vehicular movements along the Airport Road axis of the FCT.
The company explained that the facility was donated freely, in order to enhance safety on the road.
Presenting the facility, General Manager of the company, Mr. Fehim Ozkanca, said the donation was aimed at helping the officers to monitor movement of vehicles, as well as protect them from harsh weather condition during operations.
He revealed that the structures with interior equipment were made of galvanised steel to fit any project and could be assembled anywhere.
Receiving the facility, commander of FRSC, Kuje Unit, Mr. Solomon Igbogbo, thanked the company for the gesture and promised to adequately utilise the facility to ensure safety of motorists in the area.
Igbogbo called on other companies to partner with the FRSC to ensure that roads were safe.
“This is a very good gesture as it will ensure that our roads are safe and we call on other companies to join hands with FRSC to ensure safety of movement,” he said.
