The Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) in conjunction with 5-Stars Football Consultancy, is set to organise a charity football to support 200 children for heart surgery in the Federal Capital Territory and country at large.
It was gathered that the charity football match will feature Premier League Masters and African Football Legends scheduled to hold this Sunday at Hive Barnet City FC Stadium, United Kingdom.
This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 5-Stars Football Consultancy, Olumide Aturu, during an interview with newsmen in Abuja, the nation’s capital city.
Aturu noted that there will be the Nigerian chapter between the Kanu Heart Foundation Team and Abuja All Stars team at the Planet Futsal, Utako, Abuja on the same day .
“It is a one day 7-a-side charity football match scheduled to be played in a knockout format till the final stage.
“Since the establishment of the foundation in year 2000, over 542 successful heart operations have been carried out across the world,” he said”
He however explained that the foundation is a non-governmental organisation founded by World renowned footballer, Kanu Nwankwo to help Nigerian children with cardiac diseases access surgeries within and outside Nigeria.
He further disclosed that the foundation was proposing to build and equip an ultra-modern Cardiac Centre in the Federal Capital Territory, for heart surgeries.
