Foundation rehabilitates 25 drug addicts in Adamawa

In response to the clarion call by both the Federal and state governments on the fight against illicit drug trafficking and consummation,  a nongovernmental organisation, the Kapwa Wholeness Foundation has transformed the lives of twenty five  addicts in Numan local government area of Adamawa State.

The Foundation based in Numan town has been working assiduously to ensure that drug users illegally or abusers are changed for the betterment of the societies and themselves.

Disclosing the development, Managing Director of the Foundation, Dr Eunice Mosu in Numan town, weekend, at the flag-off of a youth empowerment programme organized by the foundation with support from General Board of Church and Society (GBCS-UMC)

“Our goal was to transform just one person in the whole of Numan federation, but today as an organization we have succeeded in transforming the lives of more than 25 drug users’” Mosu said.

Mosu said the foundation which started a year ago was working directly with grassroots youths by focusing more on reaching out to those battling with addiction.

Speaking at the occasion, the Commandant of NDLEA in Adamawa, Mr Yakubu Kibo, who lauded the Foundation for it contribution in the fight against drugs assured it of sustain support from the agency.
