Women of Honour and Integrity, (WOHAI), an Abuja based non denominational women ministry, has stressed the importance of empowering women with strong values and skills, to enable them contribute their quota towards rapid development of the society.
According to the Forum, women should not be underestimate in any way, as they only need exposure to keys for unveiling their potentials, in order to fulfill destiny and purpose for which they were created.
Making this point at the weekend, Founder of the Forum, Barrister Queen Samuel, opined that if woman is empowered both physically and spiritually, the nation is also empowered.
Barr. Samuel while speaking on the theme: ‘Unveiling the Debora in You’, explained it efforts should doubled at helping women to unveil God given potentials in them.
She said: “We are born with enormous potentials, but often it’s not recognized. So, by the special God’s grace, through the programme, we are going to be unveiling those potentials in the women.
“As a woman, don’t underestimate your self, don’t limit your self, and don’t allow any thing to limit you, stop pitting your self, stop forcing your self on people that does not love and care about you.
“Don’t care about what people say or think of you, their opinions are irrelevant, what matters is what God and you think of you. Don’t allow any thing subject you to emotional bondage or physical Bondage.”
Similarly, Woman Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC) in FCT, Mrs Hailmary Aipoh, said women are the managers of the men, and as mothers also nurture children, to become what they are today in the society.
Mrs Aipoh, who was a guest speaker at the event, described the forum as a wonderful platform, as it fits into the objective of propagating the ideal woman in the society.
She said the founder of the forum has been affecting the lives of the common man in the FCT, especially giving skills to the disabled people.
“We the women wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in FCT, must join hands with the Forum to make sure that we promote welfare of women.
“Gone are the days when women are to be left in the kitchen, we must make sacrifices and showcase ourselves to the development of this country.
“Because we are good managers, we will be able to nurture our children and mentor other women coming up in politics to have self values, integrity and to promote unity and peaceful coexistence in the FCT.”
