Former minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, has joined the senatorial race in Benue to oust Senator David Mark, saying he is best situated to lead Benue South Senatorial district at the Nigerian Senate in 2019.
Comrade Moro said this at the weekend while addressing newsmen at his Otukpo residence, on his intention to replace former senate President Senator David Mark at the Senate.
He said he has understudied Sen. Mark as his messenger delivering his messages, noting that during these periods, he initiated and helped to execute some of his constituency projects.
“I have followed the politics of the Benue South Senatorial district, having been a messenger of the message of Sen. David Mark. I know his dreams and aspirations for the people which I even contributed to initiate and execute with him.
“I share in his vision; and having done so, I believe I can help in the execution and completion of his projects.”
The erstwhile minister who said he has consulted widely in the nine (9) local governments of the district, and received nod by the stakeholders to go ahead, promised to bring his experience as a grassroots politician to facilitate and attract projects to the people that would uplift their social and economic wellbeing.
