A reputable Malaysian University (MAHSA) University, located at Selangor in Malaysia, has concluded arrangements to partner with the Akwa Ibom State government to develop teaching, learning and research in public schools.
Liaison Officer to the University, Mr. Jerry Dike made the disclosure at a forum organized for education stakeholders in Uyo, the State capital.
According to him, “MAHSA University has put a plan in place to partner with the Akwa Ibom government to support its education sector and expose the indigenes to the quality programmes being offered by the university.
MAHSA will train youths in various disciplines, in order for them to effectively contribute their quota to the development of the state and Nigeria at large”.
He stated that arrangements were being made “to organize an exhibition in Uyo, to showcase MAHSA University to Nigerians and expose them to the great opportunities that abounds in the university”.
He emphasized that “the Malaysian university is seeking collaboration with the government because of its giant strides in education and youth development”.
The Liaison Officer stressed that the university offers Pre-university, Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Post-graduate degrees in various programmes, particularly in the sciences.
Mr. Dike pointed out that MAHSA University has a partnership with Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom, offering dual degrees in courses such as Biomedical Sciences, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Physiotherapy as well as Midwifery, Dental Technology, Pharmacy, Hospital Management, Environmental Health and safety.
