By Amaechi Agbo

Coach of an Abuja-based Football Academy, Flomat FC, Mr Christopher Johnson has said that the focus of his club is to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Speaking on Tuesday after his lads lost a friendly match 3-2 at Area 3 Play Ground, Abuja, the young coach said that his boy gave their best in view of the fact that they had less than a week to prepare for the watch.
What do you do to manage the players and their style of play?
I am a very good Barcelona fan and most of the time I watch their Tiki-Taka style of play and see that the best way to groom these players at a very young age is to give them that kind of feed. Though we just resumed barely a week, when the option of this match came in, we have to put our arts together. We did not have the space of the whole week even to train. I try to see how I can form this new development in them and thank God they did excellently very well in the match. About the game, it takes a very good eyes and legs to read the game and know what and what needs to be done in the field of play. I read the game and understood how it should go.
What should the fans of Flomat look forward to this season?
This season, Flomat is looking out for good games, wins and developing good talents in the FCT and Nigeria as a whole.
What is your target this year?
I am looking at playing even at the premier league level but we need to start from the scratch. So, at present, I have been given a mandate to push the team to division one. And this means work starts immediately.
How do you fortify your team?
Presently, I am still weeding out. I am not yet confident with some of the players yet even though I give them one or two chances to express themselves. I am still scouting to bring in more legs in order to fortify the team for the target we have set for ourselves.
What are your challenges?
My challenges now are in the defence and more training times. We are not training every day, we train three times in a week and I believe if the management can look into it and give me five days to train these boys, the sky will be our limits within the next three months.
How is Flotmat being sustained financially?
It is just one man and when a load is on one person, it will be too heavy. Kudos to the GM; I am still looking out for more hands to come and assist the club like other corporate bodies to come in and look into the club particularly on the talents we have so that the work will not be too heavy on the GM alone.
Message to the fans
They should believe in Flomat FC. This is just the beginning and the sky is our limit. I love them.
