From Uche Nnorom Makurdi
Former Minister of Interior Comrade Abba Moro has decried that the fight against corruption is not holistic.
He particularly called for the prosecution of Minister for Transport Rotimi Amaechi.
Moro who made the call recently in Makurdi while speaking to newsmen, decried that the fight against corruption by the All Progressives Congress, APC led government is not holistic.
He lamented that the fight against corruption is merely targeted at a segment of society.
Moro wondered why former Governor of Benue State Gabriel Suswam is being prosecuted because he was indicted by Justice Elizabeth Kpojime Commission of Inquiry while Amaechi who was also, indicted by same Commission of Inquiry in Rivers State is a serving Minister.
“If you leave Amaechi on the street and appoint him Minister and you prosecute Suswam, then every right thinking person will know that there is double standard here.
“Make no mistake about it I am for the fight against corruption. The fight is a noble one. But the fight should be holistic. Corruption should be fought from all bases”, Moro maintained.
