F&H Consultant Company yesterday commenced intelligence training for Immigration Officers.
The German based company which specialises in training selected only the top brass of the service for the four days training on “Immigration processes, audit and intelligence reporting”.
The officers selected included those from the ranks of Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCG), Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACG) and Comptrollers.
Speaking at the event, the coordinator of the training, Vivian Boulch, said the training would help the Immigration officers in areas of intelligence gathering and Immigration processes.
Vivian said the service need to be updated to meet up with other countries so as to help them in discharging their duties.
“We want to assist the Immigration service because we are living in a time that needs serious information gathering and managing of such information to help curb security challenges”
She noted that the Immigration processes in the country were very slow, hence the need for speedy processes.
On his part, the Comptroller General of Immigration, David Parradang, said the training was sacrosanct to help the service at this time of security challenges.
“The training will help us to assess our goals so as to know whether we have achieved it or not; and to know the areas that need more improvement”.
“I urge you to go back to your formations and train others so as to enable us improve on areas of our difficulties”.
