FCTA to up performance of public schools

The FCT Administration has pledged to ensure that public schools are kept on high academic performance track of the education system.
This assertion was made by the Mandate Secretary, FCT Education Secretariat, Dr. Bala Mohammed Liman.
Liman eiterated that the FCT Education Secretariat, which oversees the sector in the nation’s capital city, will not relent on ensuring that necessary provisions are made to keep the momentum going , including in security and other aspects.
He said despite the large population in FCT’s primary and secondary schools, its public schools keep doing better.
He spoke during a maiden familiarisation visit to FCT Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB).
The Secretary opined that UBEB as a vital agency in the education system remains the bedrock of education in the Territory buoyed by its heavy manpower and pupils/students.
