The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has set up a committee, to support the management of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) towards fine-tuning its plans of a new iconic corporate headquarters befitting its status as the largest network in Africa.
FCT minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, who disclosed this yesterday, while receiving the management team of NTA led by its Director-General, Mr. Sola Omole, on a working visit in his office, said the committee is chaired by the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC).
He explained that idea of the committee will no doubt assist NTA to solidify its place as the No. 1 Television station in the country.
According to a statement signed by the minister’s Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Sule, FCTA will partner with the NTA to upscale the quality of broadcast media in the country.
Mohammed reiterated that his administration would continue to encourage NTA, being a premier television station in the country to renew with vigour by maintaining the lead in informing, educating and entertaining the populace.
Speaking earlier, the Director-General of NTA, said members of his new management team are working to reposition the television station to confront new challenges in the industry.
He stressed that the team is determined to create a new NTA brand in tandem with the global reality.
