The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has allocated 800 hectares of land for diaspora housing project being coordinated by the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).
The Managing Director and Chief executive officer of FHA, Prof Mohammed Al-amin, who made disclosed recently, said the land was provided by the FCT administration after the FHA management met the requsite conditions.
Al-amin the housing project site located at Maitama district in the federal capital was going to provide adequate houses for Nigerians living outside the country.
He said over 64 thousand Nigerians in diaspora have so far indicated interest in the housing scheme that its construction will soon starts.
According to him, the plan was in line with the present administration’s commitment to providing houses for Nigerians irrespective of status.
