FCT police boss pledges to establish out-post in Kuje community

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police (CP), Bala Ciroma has promised to establish police out-post in Kabin Mangoro and  Gaube communities in Kuje Area Council in order to combat crime there.

Ciroma, who made the pledge while addressing the people of the area when he paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of Kuje on Tuesday.

He also said the police special unit would be created in order to complement the operations of D.P.O as well as Area Command of the Area Council.

He urged the residents to always co-operate with police men in the discharge of their duties, while pleading with them to provide useful information that could lead to the arrest of criminals in the area.

He, therefore, thanked the people of Kuje as well as the council’s chairman for the co-operation and support being accorded to the men of police in the area.

In his speech during the visit, the chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo assured the FCT Commissioner of Police that his administration would help the security agencies so as to discharge their duties effectively.

He called on the security operatives to continue to protect the lives and properties of the residents in the area, pointing out that his administration would give special logistics and other necessary support to the police to enhance productivity.

He urged the security agencies to work alongside the vigilante groups in the area for better service delivery, saying that security is a concern of everybody.

Sabo, however, commended the Commissioner of Police for establishing another police out-post at Gudun-Karya On his part, the Head of Administration in the Area Council, Mr Daniel Ayuba, said the administration of the Council would continue to partner with the security agencies for the sake of peace and harmony in the area.
