The Village Head (Asugerin Idu), Chief Mohammad Bawa has charged the newly installed Second-in-Command (Madakin Idu-Koro), Mohammed Dantani Bako and other indigenes conferred with different chieftaincy titles on performance.
The village head has recently installed new Madaki in place of the former one, late Alhaji Shuaibu Makwuli, as well as gave chieftaincy titles to some indigenes on merit.
In a message during the event in the Village Square of the ancient city, the Asugeri advised the Madaki and the others conferred with different chieftaincy titles to not only go about their new positions with the fear of God, but also obey the law, be truthful and be careful in performance of their duties. Explaining why he gave them the charge, he said the Madaki and the new title holders are the eyes with which he sees in the village and environs.
Hailing the indigenes and residents for peaceful cohabitation in his domain, the Asugeri however, advised them to give maximum cooperation to the new Madakin Idu and the new chieftaincy title holders, as well as the leaders of residents in order to achieve the common goal of United Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the new title holders, the Madaki assured the Asugeri and those in his domain of effective performance, even as he promised to involve God in his duties.
He appealed for cooperation, as well as hailing the Emir of Jiwa, HRH Idris Musa, the Asugerin Idu and the District Head, HRH Ishiaku Ibrahim and the entire indigenes and residents for contributing immensely to peace and unity in Idu-Koro and environs.
Among those honored were: Tanko Ibrahim (Sadaukin Idu), Hajiya Slamatu Saliu Balla (Magajia Idu) and Isyaku Ango (Waziri Idu).
