The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed , has charged Muslims to uphold the Islamic tenets of selflessness, sacrifice, patience, modesty and spirituality, as lessons learnt during the preceding month of Ramadan fast.
The minister, in a Sallah message to the residents, also enjoined them to continue to pray for the nation as it strives to the overcome the current security challenges in the FCT and some parts of the country.
However, the minister assured that all security outfits in the FCT are adequately prepared to be on top of any unexpected criminal activities during and after the festivity period.
He called on all Nigerians irrespective of religious belief and political inclination to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another; advising that “we should be our brothers’ keeper.”
He noted that the nation can only progress and achieve its desire of being one of the best economies of the World and remain the largest economy in Africa in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
