The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has called on the natives to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid in the forthcoming general elections.
Bello said re-electing Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) by FCT residents will provide him more opportunity to continue with the good projects he had started in the nation’s capital and beyond.
He made this call yesterday when the FCT Forum of Ex- Councillors and Political Appointees (FECPA), visited him under the auspices of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Organisation, in Abuja.
The FCT Minister noted that with the projects executed within three and a half years of APC led government in the territory, there are clear indications that the party would do more if voted into power again.
He therefore the residents to extend their support for Buhari and APC to its National Assembly candidates, Area Council chairmen and councillors across the capital.
He however ackwledged that there were some challenges which have not been fully addressed within the territory but he assured them that if the residents reelect APC at all levels rapid development will be achieved.
Speaking earlier, the Forum’s Adviser, Dr Chijioke Nwandikom, who spoke on behalf of the members said the FCT minister should improve on his relationship with the residents especially those at the rural areas.
According to him, most of the challenges being faced by the people have not been taken serious by the elected chairmen, adding that the issues if not properly look into may have negative impact on the success of APC in FCT.
