The Federal Capital territory (FCT) Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed has extolled the virtues of the late Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspapers, Mr. Dimgba Igwe, as an outstanding journalist, who practiced the profession in accordance with its ethics and the fear of God.

In his condolence message, through a press statement issued by SA Media to the Hon. Minister of FCT, Nosike Ogbuenyi, he commiserated with the management and staff of the Sun newspapers as well as the family of the late Dimgba Igwe.

The Minister described Igwe’s death as very painful, stressing that he died at a time when his services were highly needed by his country and compatriots. He stated that from what he has read and heard about the late journalist, he was truly a rare breed in the field of journalism.

He described the late Vice-Chairman of Sun as a gentleman, who stood gallantly but peacefully for the common man and collective wellbeing. “Igwe was truly an inspirational journalist who stood for objectivity and balance at all times. His virtues are worthy of emulation”, he stated. He enjoined the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that he lived a quality life.

According to Senator Bala Mohammed, it is not how long someone lives, but how well. He prayed to Almighty God to grant his soul eternal rest.
