The secretary of Gwagwalada Area Council in the FCT, Hajiya Aminat Adah Alimi as well as eight persons on Saturday graduated from Alimi Madarasatul Tarbiyyatul Islamiyya, Phase III Gwagwalada.
Speaking with newsmen after graduation ceremony, Adah Alimi expressed joy as she graduated from Islamic school today.
Her words: “In fact, the real thing I want to say is that Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah and Alhamdulillahi rabbil a’alamina for giving me thi0een me and God. In fact, one of the promises succeeded today. So, I thanked God for keeping me alive to learn this Qur’an. In fact, I am still begging God from now to one year I want to learn more about the Qur’an. So, I am very happy today. Indeed, today is my happiest day on earth”.
She, therefore, appealed to Islamic scholars to always learn the Qur’an for the betterment of the society, while calling on both men and women to go to Islamic schools to learn the Holy Qur’an.
She said: “Every soul or every Muslim should try to learn Qur’an because the only savior on earth and the Day of Judgment is Qur’an. If you want to go closer to God try to discipline yourself and read Qur’an. In fact, any day that I am not happy I will take my Qur’an and read and that if I read two to three pages of Qur’an I will become happy throughout the day. I have seen the impacts of Qur’an on me”
The council scribe, however, said she would continue to encourage the youths to learn Qur’an for the benefit of their future, noting that she had sent many less privileged ones to Islamic schools.
On his part, the Special Adviser to the minister of state for the FCT on Religion and Community affairs, Mallam Yahaya Ibrahim Girinya, Commended the graduated council secretary for learning Qur’an at her old age.
Meanwhile, the daughter of the secretary, Aisha Abdulrasheed and Marriam who is the daughter to late brother of the secretary graduated from Islamic school. Also the grandsons of the secretary who passed out from Islamic school are Abdulahamid Abdulrasheed, Ahmed and Ibrahim.
