The Federal College of Education Technical FCE(T) has matriculated 829 students for the 2017/2018 academic session, warned them against any form of social vices capable of derailing them off the bridge leading to acquiring required qualifications during their stay in the campus.
This was contained in a speech by the College Acting Provost, Dr. Usman Ladan Kurya who, during the matriculation ceremony last weekend stressed the need for the newly matriculated students to stay away from all forms of social vices comprising Cultism, Examination malpractice and other related habits throughout their stay in the college.
“I advise you to dissociate yourself with elements that may put you into trouble or disrupt your studies such as cultism, drugs abuse, violence, religious intolerance and the likes that have partners the potential of destroying your lives and that of others”, Dr. Ladan has warned.
He further warned that, apart from the uniqueness of the College for it admits and render it’s services for ladies only, students should be aware that, it has zero tolerant to attitude towards examination malpractice and other social vices which are capable of destroying it’s hard earned reputation.
The acting Provost, also urged the students to strive and justify the opportunity of gaining admission into the college by working hard to achieve the excellent results in all courses undertaken, adding that, “You are the drivers of this country in the future therefore, develop and exhibit moral behaviour as your contribution towards the fruitful growth and development of the society.
“You should also wish to note that, successful students are graduated only when found worthy of character and learning. In fact, the secret of the success of great people is wrapped with noble character, discipline, order, commitment and dedication, perseverance and endurance “, Dr. Ladan has stressed.
