The Ekiti state governor elect, Kayode Fayemi has met the Minister of Power,Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola to plan on rural infrastructure in the state.
Fayemi who made the disclosure yesterday at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, saying he was there to solicit for the minister’s assistance for his roadmap .
While emphasising that ,the ministry is very critical to the success of state particular in regards to developmental works and infrastructure in power, works and housing .
He also identify areas where his state can benefit from the minister’s assistance ,expressing that the state has seen the visible efforts and impact of the ministry’s in Ekiti state ,ranging from housing projects, , road projects, power and federal sectariate among other projects”.
The Governor -Elect stated that “we believe that we could also ask for more and by engaging in strategic partnership “ we are a rural state and there are things we know that can targets responses from the ministry’s in relation to our rural road, rural electricity we can benefit from solar to market initiative that has been untaken in other state “.
“ This is a crucial sector of our life and economy “.
In his remarks the Minister of Power, Works andHousing ,Babatunde Fashola said essential thats’s what this administration is preaching about both from the president and vice president , these are developmental initiatives in our party plan.
“ All our party plans are peoples focus and Nigerian center, in housing projects, federal secretriate project and the transmission projects are all Nigeria center.
Consequently, Fashola pointed out that all the projects that Governor -elect has spoken about were all projects of the opposition party govenoring the state. “ I personally went on a tour to ensure all projects going on are brought to sharper focused “.
He said there was alot of differences between the last administration and this administration not as how people Insinuating ,the difference here is our attitude to development and spending.The type of Infrastructural projects president Buhari believes in is infrastructure projects not stomach infrastructure “.
The minister maintained that “we have proper identification of moving development now to the grassroot with real economic for farmers, working class, we have good policies to reach the rural areas which is so expensive to do so but we will spent less to achieved development “.
