A minor redeployment exercise carried out by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) yesterday has caught most of the affected staffs unaware as they arrived their offices on Wednesday to meet the redeployment letters.
A source in the agency informed our correspondent that 17 persons were affected across various department in the shake-up that also saw others transferred to other states.
The affected staffs were mostly from the position of Deputy General (DGM), Assistant General Manager (AGM) and General Manager (GM)
The General Manager, Training and Human Resources Development, Mr. Nath McAbraham Inajoh has been redeployed to Kano to resume as Regional Manager while the current General Manager, Aviation Security (AVSEC), one Mrs Lola will take his place, four other staff were redeployed alongside Inajoh from the department.
The DGM training and human development is to resume her new post in the administration department while the GM administration has been move to Owerri.
Our source said the exercise is part of efforts management felt is needed to reposition FAAN for the challenges ahead as against perceived notion that it was targeted at persons thought to have sympathy for former Director of Administration and Human Resources of FAAN, Hajia Salamatu Bala Eluwa who was redeployed to the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) last year.
