By Lateef Ibrahim, Abuja

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday disclosed that Senator Buruji Kashamu in conjunction with the federal government have secured court injuction to arrest its leadership.
The National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, who stated this during a press conference in Abuja, added that the plot was Kashamu’s reaction to his expulsion from their party on Monday.
It will be recalled that the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) expelled Kashamu alongside three other members for hobnobbing with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, “This morning (yesterday morning), the Federal Government in conjunction with an expelled member of our party, Senator Buruji Kashamu started procuring warrant of arrest on the leadership of the PDP. As we speak, we are aware that a warrant has been procured from a compromised judicial officer to arrest the leadership of the PDP.
“We are the custodian of our party rules and regulations and we are determined in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on how we run our party and the decisions we take as the leadership of the party. As such, any attempt by any unscrupulous Nigerian to seek to destroy our party would be totally resisted.”
