A former judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court of Justice, Hon. Mwada Balami, has celebrated sixty-seven birthday, while urging Nigerian judges to be upright in dealing with the issues of proceedings in the law court.
Balami, who stated this while speaking to newsmen during the celebration of his birthday ceremony on Wednesday at his residence in Gwagwalada, also charged Nigerian judges to be honest as well as to fear God in all ramifications.
His words: “once the judges are honest. There is nothing more than integrity, money cannot buy it for you. Again, once the judges are honest the sky will be their limit”
He added: “Let the judges be honest and do their jobs in accordance with the oaths being taken by them”.
On his birthday, he thanked the Almighty God for sustaining him up to this day or time, saying that he would continue to be a happy man in life.
When asked on the challenge faced in life, Balami recalled that he had a little challenge during his primary school education, noting that from the secondary education to the university level he had no any challenge or difficult in life up till now, and said he did not one day go for somebody for mentoring.
He, however advised Nigerian youth to always depend on God, instead of looking for godfatherism to succeed in life, pointing out that he would continue to assist people anytime of the day.
