Former Benue state Commissioner for Justice and governorship aspirant for 2015, Barr. Alex Adum has regretted that the document ‘Our Benue, Our Future’ has performed below par.

Barr.Adum, who made this condemnation during a media briefing at the NUJ house recently to announce his governorship ambition, said Suswam’s developmental plan has only achieved 30% in its implementation, averring his supposed plan will achieve over 70%.

The erstwhile commissioner particularly described the administration’s land demarcation and allocation plan as ‘faulty’.

“The plan of the state has been completely distorted. The manner they allocate land to individuals is indeed regrettable. For example, look at Achusa behind the assembly quarters in Makurdi; there is no plan, land is just allocated anyhow. If I become governor, I will stop land allocation”, he said.

The former State Attorney-General who barely resigned from office two weeks ago, also frowned that government is insincere with the State’s shares at Julius Berger, disclosing that this stands between N70-80 million, adding that the shares are ware- housed in Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC.

On primary education and health, he lauded the Almakura’s model in development of schools and health care facilities in Nasarawa, positing that he would model his plan after that by establishing specialist hospitals in the three senatorial districts of the state.

He further frowned at the moral degeneration in the State, observing that before now, the Benue man was known for his integrity, pride and a sense of purpose, disclosing that he establish a Benue ethical and moral rebirth corps that will enforce a new code of good conduct amongst the people, adding that he ensure the teaching of ethical and moral values in schools to institutionalize the culture of values for respect.
