The Secretary of Karon-Majigi Equity Women Wing in Abuja Municipal Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sabat Mohammed, has called on the Chairman of AMAC, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu candidate to assist the orphans as well as widows financially to meet up with basic necessities of life in the community.
She also charged the chairman to deem it necessary to empower women and young ladies in the community to boost their moral in the area.
Sabat Mohammed, who made this call in an interview with our correspondent on occasion of one year anniversary/launching of Almanac of Equity Women Wing on Saturday in the community, further urged the chairman to provide scholarship for their children to enable them to go school.
she appealed to the chairman to post more health personnel to the community primary health centre to prevent the residents from travelling out for medical treatment, as she noted that the health workers did not come to work on time.
She then pleaded with the chairman to build an additional block of classrooms in the community to decongest the existing ones for the betterment of the pupils.
Meanwhile, the Karon-Majigi Equity Women Wing one year anniversary was attended by the staff of AMAC and the speaker of the legislative arm of the Area Council among other dignitaries.
