Entrepreneur begs Jonathan, Obasanjo not to disintegrate Nigeria

From Ayodele Samuel, Lagos

A Lagos-based entrepreneur and auto-dealer, Adejare Adegbenro has called on former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan to work together to prevent the America’s prediction of Nigeria’s disintegration from coming to pass this year.

Adegbenro, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Balmoral International Limited, while speaking with newsmen, also expressed worry over seeming frosty relationship between the two fathers of the nation, asserting that, “the duo have what it takes to stabilise the visibly troubled ship of Nigeria.”

According to him, both Obasanjo and Jonathan would do this country a lot of good by deciding to come together “as father and son, which they are really, to chart a way forward for the country to which they are fathers, mentors and role models,” saying, “posterity would not forget them if they prevent the America’s disintegration prophecy from coming to pass.”

He said, “unarguably, both Papa Obasanjo and President Jonathan love this country dearly and will not want any evil to befall her,” warning that, the duo should not turn themselves to the two fighting proverbial elephants that cause agony to the grasses.

“I expect a situation whereby Mr. President would go to Otta residence of Obasanjo for a close door heart to heart discussion on project Nigeria without making fanfare of it. After all, there is nothing strange in father and son behind the door discussion. It is even in tandem with African culture to iron out differences for the benefit of the generality of the people,” Adegbenro explained.

He appealed to the two Nigerian leaders to use their experiences to douse the tension that was gathering momentum towards blowing the only country we all have.
