From Umar Dankano,Yola
The Adamawa state Government has warned defaulters of the imposed restrictions of human and vehicular movement to desist or face the wrath of the law.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri dropped the warning via a press statement in Yola yesterday expressing regrets that despite the curfew hoodlums have continued wrecking havoc vandalising and looting properties unabated.
In a statement signed by his press secretary,Humwashi Wonosikou,Gov.Fintiri frowned at the massive looting and vandalisation of public and private belongings across the state under the pretext of #ENDSARS protest.
Governor Fintiri while calling for calm and understanding among citizens urged the security operatives to restore peace and strict adherence to law and order stressing that any form of breach of law and order will not be tolerated.
“Vehicular movement and movement of any sort has been restricted until further notice as any body caught flouting the directives will have him/herself to blame.
“Those taking laws in to their hands should desist as security agencies have been directed to arrest and prosecute any one found wanting.
“Government will not allow disgruntled elements destroy the peace built over the years or fold its arms and allow the situation to degenerate to anarchy”, Fintiri said.
