Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, has commiserated with Gombe residents, who were affected by flood recently in the state.

Abdulkadir Abubakar advised residents to always clean their environment in order to avoid unnecessary flood in their domain.
It could be recalled that last Friday, a heavy down pour occurred in Gombe metropolis where lives and property were lost to flood that displaced residents in the area.
While sympathizing with the residents over the issue, the Emir also enjoined them not to build their houses close to river banks, even as he said there is need for residents to protect themselves at all time without hindrance.
Speaking further, the Emir urged them to look at the incident as the act of God and pray God to give the families of the deceased fortitude to bear the loss.
