The Emir of Kaman in Plateau State, Alhaji Muhammad Mu’azu has disclosed how he shed tears of joy, watching Hon. Idris Wase elected unopposed when the 9th House of Representatives was inaugurated.
Speaking when he received the Deputy Speaker in his palace over the weekend, the traditional ruler said the mandate given to Wase was an honour done to the entire people of Plateau State.
“I shed tears the very day I saw your affirmation as Deputy Speaker, you have done us proud. This particular mandate given to you was an honour done to us, and I want to assure you that we are behind you.
“We are ready to give you all the advice you may need to succeed. We have confidence that you will do your best, and we have confidence that you have the capacity to deliver on the mandate bestowed on you by Allah.
“We will give you all the necessary support and may Allah help you where you can and where you cannot. I urge you to work closely with your principal, and don’t allow people to come in between the two of you”, the royal father told the Deputy Speaker during the visit.
Earlier, Wase, who was on his first visit to his constituency after he was elected the Deputy Speaker said he was at the palace to thank the royal father for his support and prayers.
The Deputy Speaker while assuring the emir and the people of Plateau state of his readiness to deliver on the mandate, promised to do all he could within his powers to improve the lives of Nigerians.
