Eid-el Kabir: Cleric urges care for the needy, orphans

The importance and merit of caring for the needy especially the orphans, widows and other vulnerable ones has been underscored as one of the keys to entering paradise.
The 4th Imam of the Yobe Islamic centre Mosque, Imam Ali Algon made the call yesterday in his sermon after the two rakat prayer to mark the 2014 Eid-el Kabir. He pointed out that caring for the needy ones is one of the virtues identified as a key to entering into paradise of Allah.
In attendance for the prayer were the state deputy governors, Engr. Abubakar Aliyu, head of service, members of the executive council and security chiefs among others.
Highlight of the occasion was the slaughtering of the sacrificial animam by the officiating Iman, Imam Ali Algon.
