As Muslims all over the world are preparing to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Chief Imam in charge of Gwagwalada central Mosque, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Musa Mohammed, has advised youth to be of good behaviour during and after the festival.
Mohammed, who gave the advice in an interview with Peoples Daily in Gwagwalada, noted that Eid-el-kabir is a festival for sober reflection and moment of peace for humanity.
He urged the fathers in the capital city and its environs to deem it fit to counsel their children to live in peace and harmony with one another.
He decried that many young people view the celebration of Eid-el-kabir as a merry-merry season, where they go around drinking and smoking all sort of substances in the name of sallah.
He therefore called on both parents and guardians to their play important roles, in order to checkmate the activities of their children during the sallah, adding that it would help in ensuring that anti-social behaviours among youth reduced or even wiped out.
Also, the clergyman therefore, enjoined the Muslim faithful to always pray for leaders for the Almighty God to guide them towards delivering good leadership.
