The Executive Chairman of the Board Alhaji Mohammed Kullama Hardawa disclosed this while briefing newsmen in his office yesterday, saying, the salaries of the affected staff have been stopped, pending the EFCC findings.
Hardawa added that the detention of the staff occurred even the composition of the present management of the board saying, the management is now guided by the fiscal financial management of the government.
“We are now waiting for the outcome of the staff affected, pending the findings of EFCC to act, in tandem with government’s decision on the fate of the accused persons” Hardawa added.
According to Hardawa, the verification exercise will afford the management to know the exact number of students enjoying scholarship while on study explaining that ghost students will be flush out of the system.
The verification exercise is involving all the 20 LGA’s of the state in batches, to give room for unearthing ghost students who claim they are bona fide indigenes of Bauchi state.
